HTPC (noob) question.....

I just hooked up my htpc to my infocus 4805 and i have (hopefully) a quick question. Since the projector is 480p native resolution I have to have the htpc displaying 854 x 480.


I do not really have any major problems whith the size (I normally like to run 1600x1200 on regular displays) but it seems for even the most basic applications or windows pop ups the window size is huge. Is there a program out there that allows you to resize any windowed program?
