Please help me with your advice on how you would set up a new boat [PDQ MV/34 power catamaran - www.pdqyachts.com ] with a 'start from scratch' htpc based a/v system - which I would like to be a 'jaw dropper'

a/v experience. Below is a copy of my initial email to the builder on this:

I will be driving the system primarily from a laptop pc to an Extigy so that location is a starting point. Some questions:

1. How much depth are availablie in the piano bar and

helm stations for pc/docking and other equipment in a

slide out drawer or cabinet [facing forward to

dinette]? We need to cable two antennas : am/fm and XM

sat radio antennas to chosen location. [The tv cable

goes directly to the tv through the arm.]

2. What 5.1 speaker system do you recommend? White,

easily replacable speakers?

3. Where do we put the subwoofer box [anywhere low].

4. Would you choose a 12 volt or 100 volt

am/fm/receiver/amp?

5. The screen will be a 17 - 32 inch lcd or plasma tv/monitor on

an articulating arm [24" reach] [lcdarms.com] mounted on inboard

[passageway] side of the helm. We need to cable from

the pc to it so cable length and path must be known

ahead. The screen will be used for both nav [aft] and

tv viewing [fore or aft]. If you think a different arm

location makes sense for both purposes please say so.

Thanks, Brian

What very small 5.1 speaker system is the best quality - preferably available in white/silver/grey? This will be permanaently wired so needs to be 'pluggable/removable. Thanks
