I really need some help deciding on this one.

I currently own a Panny PT-47WX42 TV (Rear Projection 480p/1080i) which is about 1.5 years old. I'm very pleased with this unit and have gotten many good hours of DVD viewing and HTPC Playing.

But I recently changed to an apartment and have limited space for the TV, specially on the width side, so my wife thinks it looks ugly sticking out of the current furniture so it’s the perfect opportunity to upgrade! :) (and sell my Panny to a friend )

The problem is I have a limited budget to upgrade (

I've been looking at the Panasonic too and just finally decided to go with the Samsung HLN4365W DLP instead. The brightness and contrast were just much better on the Samsung DLP models and I felt the extra price was worth it (the 43" is $2995 at www.tvauthority.com .) Ultimately I think this set looks better than most of the plasmas I have seen and it blows the Panny away in PQ.

I also looked at the plasmas but felt I would have to get a true HD capable one (not the 852x480 ED) if I was going to be spending that much money anyway (and for true HD I couldn't afford plasma.) In the end I think the absence of burn-in issues on DLP will make gaming more enjoyable.

Good Luck...
