HTPC playlists

923 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  umdivx
I am in the process of putting together a Vista HTPC (MCE based probably or maybe mymovies 2).

Does anyone know of any similar software that provides the ability to make playlists from a big DVD archive on hard disk?

What I want to be able to do is make a play list of music videos from different disks or portions of scenes (ideally, not the entire chapter) and play it sequentially. This would be for eye candy while throwing parties.

Since it will be for occasional use, it doesn't really need to integrate with the MCE or MyMovies but it should be able to share the input folders.

Thoughts?

there was a thread on one of the sub forums on AVS here where a group of guys made demo dvd's you could try finding that thread and getting a copy of those dvd's to just play those.

I couldn't find the thread. If it involves pre-burning DVDs, it sounds like a little bit more of a pain than I would like but possible since this is once every month or two type of operation. I probably should ask some of my VJ friends. I bet they have cool toys to do this.
