Hi All,

I have a NEC Xg75 with a Quadscan 2.05 scaler with a Sony Dvp-S7000.

I am thinking of putting together an HTPC with a Radeon Card. And using the VGA Pass through.

Do you think that the HTPC will generate a noticeable improvement in picture quality for DVD's?

And if there is a difference how much of a difference do you think it would be?

Do you think that the picture would be almost as good as a Faroudja NR scaler's picture.

Thanks in advance, Brian

I never had the Quadscan before, but my HTPC has MUCH better video quality than my ex Transcanner on my PG9100.

In term of DVD player, I don't think Faroudja NR can beat an HTPC
