I was watching "Star Wars Revenge of the Sith" tonight and for some reason I could not get the movie to play in Dolby EX. The "intro" to the movie played in EX, but once the movie started the sound reverted to standard Dolby Digital and nothing I could do could get it to play in EX, even though the movie is coded for it and my receiver is a 6 channel unit that supports the format.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what I could be doing wrong?

Thanks.

The star wars disks are not flagged correctly. I belive you should be able to manually put your Yamaha in 6/7 channel mode...

Not sure if you mean PLxII mode, but yep I was able to do that. I wasn't aware they were flagged incorrectly, but I guess that makes sense as to why it didn't work. It was weird that it worked for the into mode to the movie (The Dolby Digital part) but then immediately faded to basic Dolby Surround afterwards.

Thanks for your help.
