Htr-6050 Hdmi 1.1 ?

Has any one tried getting the lossless audio formats from the PS3 using this receiver and HDMI?


I have this receiver and am unsure if can accept the lossesless audio decoded in the ps3 for bluerays.

I havn't purchased a ps3 yet, so I havn't tried.


Yamaha tech support says no.


PS3 threads suggest yes, (all hdmi 1.1 receivers) yamaha website states this is receiver is HDMI 1.2a spec


Any help ?

Pretty sure you need HDMI 1.3 for the lossless codecs:
