Hughes HTL-HD - Is Multipathing the issue?

200 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  JGDiablo
I have a Hughes HTL-HD. When the receiver truly doesn't get a signal for a channel, it will instantaneously show NO SIGNAL. When it gets some signal (perhaps it's weak or multipathing issues) it takes the receiver about 2 seconds for it to display NO SIGNAL.

Therefore, perhaps the reason why I can't get WNBC-DT (beyond the low power) is multipathing? or is the receiver just not getting a strong enough signal to lock-in.

Anybody know?

I "view" mulitpathing as pixelation on my screen, not a lack of signal. What is the signal strength meter reading when you experience this?
Since I have firmware 1.06, I don't have a signal strength meter in the HTL-HD ---- so I can't tell. I guess i'm trying to understand what it means when the receiver takes a few seconds to give a NO SIGNAL - is it just a lack of strong enough signal for the tuner to lock-in?
