I am getting several error codes on a Hughes/JVC 310E. I wired the projector to operate from my 220 VAC single phase dryer outlet and the unit powers up using the remote control. When I press the menu function it does not display the menu, the projector displays the error code 0. Acording to the manual that indcates that all functions from the Systen Control Board (SCB) are operating properly. If I keep pressing the remote control Escape (ESC) at times it will cycle through the inputs and display the Xenon lamp output for about a half second. Once in while it will display error code #. It appears to be in default input 1 (RGBHV).

Also, the projector will not turn off uning the remote control. I have to unplug it to turn it off. Is the projector looking for a password? How can I get it to accept a video signal? Any help appreciated.

I have a 310E, 320E and 310E SC that I am working on.

Thank you forum Menbers.

Not any more i don't. Got rid of both the ampro and the hughes/jvc.

Put both on ebay for $5 (you pick it up) and not one bite. So i took

various parts out and dragged them to the trashcan. The only

thing these things have going for them is excessive brightness. Thats

it. Contrast ratio stinks. For parties with the lights on, great otherwise

forget it. Yep 220 volts ONLY. Lots of heat and fan noise too. And

bulb prices WHOABOY.

Sounds like the horizontal pll is not locked. There are so many

versions of these projectors that it is hard to tell from the model

number which resolutions they will take and which they won't.

800 x 600 should work on most projectors as long as horizontal

sync is negative. There is a red/green led on the pll board and if

its red, you got a problem. Also check the voltage on the cmos

battery. If its less than 2.5 volts the unit just plain won't work right.

The remote not working right might definitely be the sign of a bad

battery (in the unit, not the remote)
