This movie still beats any highest PQ Reference blu-ray I own. Its out of this world. I can't believe it. Nothings comes even close. It looks even better on modern plasma tv.

I thought both hulk movies were watchable. I picked this up after hearing that the video PQ was so good. I have a BD player too but I still like to have a good amount of HD-DVDs in my collection.

++1 on that. Hulk was my first (HDDVD-LOL), still think it had the sharpest, clearest, picture I have ever seen. Movie OK, kinda low key for the most part, but I am a HUGE Jennifer Connely fan so that made it a repeat watcher for me.

Hulk was my reference for HD for the longest time. It really is a fantastic transfer.

I have been a bit surprised lately in going back to it: it's not quite as consistently amazing as I used to think. A lot of images are actually softer than I'm now used to on other reference BDs.

But there are still certain scenes with incredible sharpness and detail - e.g. Ross's interrogation of Banner, the scene with Banner and Connely sitting talking at the kitchen table and Ross's entrance.

The San Francisco scene that starts with the bombs dropping in the water to Hulk popping out of the ground and finally turning back into Banner. The shots of Ross in the helicopter are phenomenally sharp

and detailed. Some close ups of Connely too are incredible, e.g. talking with Ross at the restaurant.

I've always felt that the Sean Penn-directed "Into the Wild" was one of the best transfers I'd ever seen at that time. Perfectly realized on HD-DVD

Good to know. I liked ITW and got it on HD-DVD but have yet to watch it, and in fact had to look to see "did I buy that" when I saw yr post. Thanks.

I decided to throw this on yesterday after I touched up the calibration on my projector and it isn't even close to being that good.
