I have this annoying hum in the center speaker that goes away if I unplug the HDTV. Speaker is placed just above the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into. This system is in an RV. Tried a filter from radio shack, no help. Is this a grounding or a shielding problem. Stereo amp is in a closet 30 feet away from speaker and TV. I suspect the speaker in close proximity to the electrical outlet could be the problem.

Does the speaker wire run in the same wire run as the 120v wires feeding the plugin? Its best to have speaker wire cross the 120v wire at a 90 deg angle rather than having them lay side by side. Speaker wire tends to pick up electrical induction.
