HV20 and MAC - help

I have connected the HV20 with the firewire cable to my Mac Pro and PC but the computer refuses to recognize the camcorder. The comcorder recognized the connection and I get the HDV/DV symbol on the screen in the play screen.


I have tried using iMovie and Avid Xpress Pro (windows and mac) to capture but since the computer doesnt recognize the camcorder, nothing will work. Any know if I have to setup anything special?


Any help would really be appreciated.
