Hi. This may be a stupid question, but since we're already using HW

on our DVD's why can't we use the same for our LD'S?

Perhaps a little option in Dscaler, where you can 'check' HW acc.

Any thoughts? Or am I dreaming lost dreams?

Laser Disc is analog, not digital like a DVD. Therefore it will first need to be digitized.

I'm sorry I didn't quite understand your question. You are asking about Hardware acceleration for Dscaler? I don't know if that's possible.

Some video cards do the scaling in hardware (Radeon all in wonder, I think) , and there's also the H3D http://www.immersiveinc.com/ but it's very expensive. If your CPU is having dificulty with Dscaler, then the cheapest solution might just be a new CPU and motherboard.
