Cross posting from the Amp forum.

I am looking to experience the tube sound but need more wattage to drive 84db sensitivity speakers, so I am considering integrated hybrids. I came across the bada-dc222 and the jolida 1501-rc and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or comments about the two.

Get the JoLida; they are well known for being able to drive difficult to drive speakers.

The dealer where I bought my JD801A uses a 40 Wpc JoLida integrated to drive Maggie 16's which is no mean feat.

I own the bada-dc222 and am quite happy with it. I drive MMG's - 4ohms and inefficient.

Very happy Bada owner driving 4 ohm 86dB Dynaudio 3.4's with ease...

What size is your room?

How far away are you from your spkrs?

How loud do you play your music?

Are your spkrs 4 or 8 ohms?

8 ohm speakers...15X30 room....I sit about 10 feet from the speakers. I usually dont listen at more than 85 db but do like the ability to crank up more if needed.

The bada seems quite promising.

If you go with the Bada I recommend you swap out the stock (4) 12AU7's to the GE Mil-spec 6189's. They make the amp more dynamic...opens up the midrange and tightens the bass.

Good luck,

Here is a write up by "Vic" on the Pacific site about tubes for the bada
