Hi folks,

My HTPC is an ASUS 1015PN Netbook and while it does it's duties wonderfully, I just cannot get it to wake up with my remote. I've tried all of the power settings I could find (including: Power Options and ticking the boxes in the USB Root Hub/eHome receiver power management in the Device Manager).

The BIOS on this machine is VERY limited and includes no options for power management. Right now, I am using my phone's XBMC app to wake it with WOL but I'd much rather use my remote to do that. Also, my remote is the Rosewill RHRC-11001 Windows 7 Certified MCE Infrared Remote Control.

If there's nothing that can be done, I'll just suck it up and keep using my phone. Haha

Not all the USB remote/keyboard can wake up PC. Not sure Rosewell can do that or not. Just for testing, please try to plug in a simple USB keyboard and test it and make sure your netbook can wake up by a simple USB keyboard first. If so, and I assume your remote can do that and it is something to do with the setting. Please Google around and there is a very good program called MCE Standby Tool. The original programmer stopped supporting the program, you need to dig deeper to find that program. All my HTPC has that program and it is a very useful program IMO.

Thanks for the help, I'll look into the standby tool. And while I don't have a USB keyboard with me at the moment, I'll try to get one soon to test.
