I finally got around to upgrading one of my 4040s to a 4120. Thinking I'd be real smart, I figured I'd heat up the warranty label and open up the unit without breaking it. Remembering that it took a while with a hair dryer when I did this on my Showstopper, I opted to use my wife's craft heat embossing tool (more POWER). Can you guess where this is going?

The damn thing actually melted the label entirely.

DOH!!!

I use a liquid called Un-Du it neutralizes the sticky stuff, once it dries its sticky again.. Originally obtained to remove kids stickers from stuff.. Found other more devious uses for it though!!

Works like a champ... no heating.. only trick is getting it started under some of those plastic faced stickers..

Once you get the sticker off, I then stick it to wax paper for later reuse.. I tape the wax paper sheet to the object in question to quickly find it again if necessary.

I got mine at wal-mart, where they sell laundry detergent , hanging on the end of an isle..
