Does your budget of $8000 include a sub or subs? Or just $8000 for speakers? So the rooms 14'x17' are you going with a 5.1 or 7.1 setup? And are you only looking a mainstream brands at stores or are you interested in any Internet Direct stuff?

The $8,000 include subs and speakers

Give me both options for 5.1 and 7.1

May be I will buy it from online

I check reviews for different brands like B&W,Polk ,Psb,Gallo,Jbl

But this is my first theater I need sugestions from people like you

What I would do:

JTR Noesis 228HT (LCR): $3,600

JTR Single 8HT as surround speakers: (2 @ $900/ea)

JRT Captivator 1000 (2 @ $1900/ea)

That puts you a little over budget for a 5.2 system but, it would put you very near the top of the HT Audio food chain and you would never need to upgrade.

You can get the JBL Synthesis LS40 5.2 system (dual subs) for under $5800 MSRP, street price will be less.

They may not be as mighty as their big brother, the $75,000 JBL Synthesis Everrest:

but these JBL Synthesis LS40:

should make you very happy.

Home Theater Magazine concluded:

"If you’ve ever walked through the high-end audio exhibits at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES)—ducking your head into the door of whatever room sounds good—you’ll hear very few products that can reproduce airy, detailed, luscious high frequencies as well as the Performance LS can. And none that can perform similar feats at the same price."

You may be well aware of this. But for those unaware, besides it's $75,000 big brother Everest, the JBL Synthesis' other blood relative is the $22,000 Revel Salon2 since Harman owns JBL, Revel, Mark Levinson, Lexicon, and few other labels.

^ I had the pleasure of hearing the JBL Synthesis Everrest a while back and they sounded incredible (for $75K, they should
). Being a fan of JBL in general, and while I haven't heard the Synthesis LS40's, it is an interesting recommendation.

Buy a handful of used LaScalas off Ebay/Craigslist and buy a Danley DTS-10 subwoofer and forget about it.

All horn loaded system, dynamics out the wazoo.  Capable of going down to about 10hz and if you apply enough throttle, will easily flatten the cupcakes your wife has baking in the oven.

If you were up for it you could build a pretty amazing value system using DIY flat packs. http://www.diysoundgroup.com/

You could go with 3 Fusion-15 Sentinel's for your LCR, and 4 Alpha-8 Minion's for surrounds and a couple of the flat pack 18" subs. That would leave you with a good budget a something like a Denon AVR4520 and room treatments.

Man those Everrest's are pure speaker porn. What's the retail on the LS40's? I've always had a bit of a soft spot for JBL speakers.

It's not that, but the "top of the HT Audio food chain" part that is over the top and spit-take worthy.

Well if he's taking about ID companies its not that far fetched. Especially for within the OP's budget.

JBL Synthesis LS40 MSRP is $699 each.

I really like the JBL Synthesis stuff. There's a high end Customer Home AV shop two buildings down from my office. I know they sell the high end JBL stuff but sadly I've never stopped by to hear any of them.
