I have a HS10 connected to my HTPC via DVI direct.. When viewing 99% of 2.35:1 movies they take up the full screen.. But when viewing some movies such as pulp fiction, The Siege and others they only take up a small portion of the center of the screen... Why is that? Is that because of how its formatted, even though it says its in 2.35:1 format?

Thanks!

You can get the movie to fill up the horizontal size of the screen keeping aspect ratio. Most software dvd players have this option somewhere (although I forgot).

Wu, Can you name some of these 2.35:1 movies?

I find it highly unlikely that your HTPC automatically zooms in on some scope movies and not on others.

With TT for instance, each movie can have its AR, zooming and positioning stored. However, it has to be manually done by the user.

Can you list your configuration?

i.e

Software : TT/PowerDVD/Windvd/ZP

Video card desktop resolution.

Postprocessing?

I'm not sure about "The Siege and others", but the original 'Pulp Fiction' was non-anamorphic. This must be addresssed within the player.
