Although I havent got my Replay yet (3030 from mercata), I was wondering if it was possible to lug it around from place to place, specifically my friends house back to my house and visaversa (spelling?)... He has the football package for directv...and it be cool to bring it to his house so we could just zap through commercials...or watch replays...... , and then when im done, just bring it back to my house...


ALso, would it be possible for replay to setup email with these puppies? Like a replaytv email service, where you can send email with the unit...

Absolutely. You may have to hook it up to his phone and dialup for some new data, but that takes 5 minutes (and you may not have to do it)

I would guess that just a manual channel setting, and a manual record setting, with plenty of padding, would work out fine. Maybe no dialin needed at all.


Seems to be a lot of trouble, just to zap commercials. Sounds like he needs his own Replay!
