I have a theory.. D*/TNT (why not yet?)

D* has just said recently that they are not going to carry ESPN2-HD until they get more HD programming. I would bet a buffalo nickle that they've taken the same stance with TNT-HD. All they really have on there is Basketball and a few movies. No real point in carrying either until they get more HD, if ya ask me..

You may be right, but if you look at ESPNHD2's schedule for March they have just as many -or more- HD games as ESPNHD. I thinik in this instance, D* is making excuses when it comes to adding ESPNHD2.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that TNT is owned by Time Warner (or something like that-at the least they are both owned by the same company) and they are trying to get more TWC customers.
I've wondered the same thing myself.
Gee, TNTHD seems to have a lot more than movies and basketball.

I've seen many "Broadcast in Hi Def where available" on the SD station.
It's 24/7 "HD", but I guess the only true HD is the NBA games since just about everything else is upconverted (I think?). I'd demand both ;)
be some NASCAR too brother, on TNT that is.

Nope.

Initially there was mostly upconverts, but not now. More and more native HD is being seen on TNT HD, movies & series.
I wish that they'd show their NYPD Blues shows in HD.
And don't forget, it was D*'s decision to dump CNNfn that forced TW to shut down the channel.

Then, again, it was D*'s decision to dump Trio that forced NBCU to shut down THAT channel, and THEY seem to have made nice, now.
