i just got my 50b860 in today and it looks sweet, still need to hook up everything before i turn it on, anyways my question is where do i check to see the manufacture date and another question i have is, on samsung plasma panels are there different models like the a panel and s panel like the samsung lcd panel problems ?

Not sure about panel type, manufacture date is on the back, left mid section, with all details, serial, etc.
