I noticed that one resolutions suggested in the forum are 1920x540 vs 960x540. Why would the 1920 be needed? I tried this one and 1706x480. I did NOT notice a big difference other than a tall and narrow desktop.


I'm using a Radeon 8500 with an Intel P4/1.5. WinXP. PowerDVD XP. Mits WS-55805.

On what type of device did you notice that it didn't make a difference?


If you have a large CRT projector projecting onto a very large screen - you would probably notice the difference

with the increased resolution.

I have a Mits 55" RPTV, its HDTV ready. It has 7" tubes.
