hello i just wanted to get some opinions i am going to purchase a receiver my spending limit is around 1k i have looked at a few models and this is what i have found that i liked.


onkyo tx-905/tx-906

onkyo tx-876

integra dtr8.8/8.9


what ones out of these would you go with?

Those are all past models. Why wouldn't you be shopping for an up to date model?


How about the Onkyo NR1007 ? Great price for the weekend - don't look for it to stay at that price on Monday.

well the reason i picked those is because the compairable models are like double the price for what i can get in my spending range if you look at for example the dtr 8.8 compaired to the integra 50.1 there is not anything new on them that would make me need the new model. for a grand now i could not get a ultra plus thx receiver that is in the 130 to 140 per channel range. i just trying to get the most for my buck it does not bother me if it is 2 yrs old or 1. besides why spend alot on a new one when by the end of the year they roll out 1.4 hdmi 3d ready receiver then i am stuck with a two grand receiver that can not pass the new signal.
