I have a Sony CX-875 P.S. I never noticed it till I put a 1.33:1 concert in and the progressive played it as anamorphic 1.85:1. I have the F-38310 in full not fill format, but some had told me it would play whatever the OAR of what was put in. I accidently put a Blondie (1981) concert in today and it plays like above, were those AVS members wrong? Can I load my concerts into the 875 instead of Sony CX-860 interlaced 300 +1 changer? I didn't want the player to play foolscreen.:)

I don't think Sony players correct the image for 1.33:1 or non-anamorphic DVDs. It'll just put them in whatever mode the TV is in, in your case FULL mode.

Hob, this is why X-Y Scaling is so important to some people. It's your TV causing the problem, not the DVD player. The TV locks into stretch mode on any progressive source, even those that are non-anamorphic or 1.33:1. A DVD player with X-Y Scaling could be used to compensate for this problem.
