I want to by the Optoma HD20 to use without having to take my primary audio receiver outside.


I need an hdmi to hdmi with rca audio split out of it. Where can I get one of these? I just spent the last hour trying to find something on google and the closest thing I can find is the xbox 360 adapter, which will only work if I want to hook up my 360 to it (I probably will, but I will have my roku hooked up to it outside)


Help me out guys.

That seems like overkill. Is there not a non-powered device that simply does hdmi to hdmi with audio out?

Spend $43 and do what you want, or don't buy it and not do anything at all...

Can't you just use the a/v mini jack on the back of the roku for your audio?

You're not going to find an HDMI adapter with the audio split out. What you're wanting is an analog feed and HDMI is digital, not compatible. It would have to go through a converter to change the digital to audio. It would be far cheaper and easier to just use the RCA audio outputs from your source to feed the receiver.
