IDEAL Coax Compression Tool

I recently purchased a Radio Shack coax stripping tool and an IDEAL compression connector tool ( http://www.idealindustries.com/prodD...?prodId=30-633 ). Using the IDEAL connectors, they have worked out very well for me.

My question is: Is the compression tool only going to work with the IDEAL brand coax connectors? I'd like a bit more freedom of choice when buying compression connectors, if possible.

It will work with the majority of compression fittings out there.
I too, just got an Ideal compression tool and other Ideal co-ax tools.

The total lack of real instructions from Ideal is sad.
Thanks for the replies. After posting, I realized I could have just read the PDF on the website, which is the front label that came with the tool, which states:

Assembles the following 59 and 6 series Fconnectors

- IDEAL PPC CMP and EX/XL

- PPC EX/XL

- Telewire Digicon-S

- Gilbert Ultraseal

- Thomas & Betts Snap-N-Seal"
