I'm planning on putting a bias light of some kind behind my 57" RPTV and wondered if anyone had suggestions for an IR controlled bias lighting solution. I didn't want to permanently mount anything behind the TV and I don't want to drill into the wall; this will just be something on the floor that I can possibly encase with a nice box or something.

Anyone know of a good dimmable ballast-type light that is external and can just plug into a wall?

TIA,

Jamie

I have lighting behind my TV. I have it wired so when my receiver turns on, the light turns on. It is not dimmable (word?) though, and uses regular light bulbs. I just use the wattage I found comfortable with. It is a bathroom fixture I mounted to a 2x4, hooked up a grounded cord to it. It sits on the floor right now, I want to raise it up some, just haven't got to that yet because I need the wood that will be left over from the platform I am about to make.
