If HD DVD was still around...

Seeing as how 3D movies are vastly available in the Blu market, I wonder if Toshiba would have adopted a larger format HD DVD disc, and what the quality would have been?

Toshiba had a 51GB disc approved by the DVD Forum.

Capacity was never a problem.
wonder what 3D on the toshiba would have been like...faster maybe?

I don't think HD DVD had the data throughput capacity for 3D
why is that? If Blu ray discs can handle 3D, dont you think Toshiba would be in the same position? (If they were still around of course)
If HD DVD was still around then again as I said it would have had to usurp Blu-Ray in during the HD optical disc format war or competition.
