Try again. I know, this has sort of appeared in several threads recently, but I think it's important enough to bump/post under new subject. Many of us had streaming problems from Replay to computer, where streaming would work FINE going the other way. Gerry Duprey had several well reasoned posts explaining various things that might cause it (poor network cards, difference between incoming and outgoing traffic, etc.) but I never quite believed it wasn't a VLC problem. (And Gerry, I'm not blaming you at all, of course - I think your posts were informative, and probably correct, too. But that wasn't the ONLY reason streaming wasn't working. And thanks again for DVArchive.)

Like others who have posted recently, the new version of VLC (0.7.2) fixed everything. If you tried streaming before and got breakup, green pixels halfway down, etc. - just get the new version.

I can now stream from Replay over wireless to my laptop with no breakup, whereas with VLC 0.7.1, I couldn't even stream to the computer hardwired on the network. Streaming also works between the two computers running DVArchive, where it didn't before.

Note that while it's true many problems have been resolved this release is not a cure all, at least not for me. There are still occasional freezes in the stream, etc. even over wired LAN and with Drtcp optimized settings. But it is a big improvement.
