I could care less about the all star game, but I do care about the Western Conference Finals...hopefully they'll get TNT-HD in a couple of months before it starts.
If you care about the NBA in HD - this may be a good time to dump D*
The NBA ALL-Star Game is coming this weekend and no sign of TNT-HD on D*. This may be a good time to dump D* and go either E* or V*. Well, it maybe too late to schedule an installation to save the weekend, but IMO, it would be wise to do the switch before the Western Conference finals.

football, mlb, and college basketball take precident and voom can't offer either so no use leaving for me.

NBA. Are you kidding me?????? College Football, NFL yes but the NBA. And to think I used to be a huge fan. MLB is heading towards NBA ranks for me too. Red Sox brought me back in but after the last strike, it took a long time. I just dont give a rats about the overpaid spoiled athletes in both leagues. NBA has fighting and MLB has steroids. Thank goodness for College BBall and NFL.

Based on the NFL Ticket numbers and College Gameday subscriptions, the numbers seem to support that your viewing habits match the largest viewer base profile. I'd have to agree.

If the NBA All Star game was worth a damn, it would be showing on one of the Big 4 nets in primetime, and not shuttled off to cable.

Why people keep asking when will D* launch TNT-HD. D* already announce what the priority is: HD LIL's. If you want TNT-HD now (before the NBA All-Start game), call E*.

Well, NFL is over and the D* PQ hasn't improved, in fact it is worst now as more channels are being down-rezzed. Has anybody left yet?

IMO, this is the best time to e-bay your HD-TiVO (if you have one). The news about the MPEG-4 transitions are not widely spread yet. In 3-6 months you'll see tons at e-bay as low as $10.

At that time, I decided to go VOOM and was a very happy customer until October, when I moved to a new apartment and didn't have lign of sight (to any DBS sat). Anyway, I'm temporarely stuck, but will be moving out when my lease agreement finishes on 2/2005. After moving the 1st thing in my agenda is to call VOOM. With the new offer plus the planned expansion plans it is a no brainer for me.
