I think this could be an interesting thread:

Say your wife made you sell all your DVDs but she said

you could keep ONLY one dvd to demo your

system to your friends, which would it be?

I know for sure mine would be:

The Fifth Element - SuperBit

(actually even if the Superbit version didn't exist I would still choose TFE because either version is awesome for demo purposes)

Which ONE dvd would you guys choose?

After tweaking my setup last night and then going through several DVDs, Gladiator was the one that made me sit down and just watch for quite a while yet again. The picture quality was so good, with so much detail in it, it was quite impressive. I'm not saying it's the best DVD out there, but it's got a very good picture, great sound, and a captivating story. Makes it a great overall demo disc i think.

LOL GOod one.

Also, there's little point in demoing your system if you cannot use it for anything else :(

Red Planet. The picture isn't quite as good as the very best DVDs (Fifth Element SB), and the audio isn't quite as good as the very best (SPR-DTS). But it's the combination of picture and audio quality, and the active surrounds, that makes this a great demo.

If I want to show off my 5.1 I use Pitch Black. The first 5 min is an attention getter.
