Tony is trying to help you out. He is telling you to do this the right way and listen to both and make your own descision. What difference does it make what other people think of your potential speakers? There is no better or best just what you like which many times can be totally different than what others like.
Spartanqb, buy the AV123 set and just enjoy your music and movies!!! No need to split hairs over two great products.
If they do not enjoy them then return them, it costs you nothing in the end!!!

No and yes....it does not matter.
AV123 offers free return...buy them, listen to them, enjoy them or return them.
No opinion here should really matter because it will all be purely subjective. You have to understand that everyone's ears are different so we all hear it differently, meaning you may love the Kef's, I may hate them, I may love the x-mtm, you may hate them.
You can only do one thing and that is to listen to them yourself.

+1. Best advice given in this thread. In other words, which one we'd pick shouldn't matter. My recommendation is to order the pair of main speakers from both companies. Audition them in your home using your gear and then return the loser. Finally, order the rest of the package from the winning manufacturer. Then you'll have piece of mind knowing you picked the best two. And that, in my opinion, is priceless.
