I'm building a desk/bookshelf/entertainment center in my study. The only spot I can put a tv is about 6 feet off the ground (center of TV) I will have chairs straight across from it to view. My question is how do I figure out if a LCD will work when sitting down. Is 6 feet to high? Will it cause a noticeable depreciation in brightness due to the viewing angle? It won't be wall mounted so I don't think I can tilt it to point down. I only have about 34 inches of width, so its either and LCD or one of those vizio plasmas..any thoughts?

Thanks
