Not sure what's going on but, Super Speedway looks like crap on my setup (Hitachi 57xwx20b, Radeon equipped HTPC, blah blah blah). The picture is full of jaggies and the motion is not smooth at all. Checked out another Imax dvd (grand canyon) and saw the exact same thing. What gives? Is this just what Imax movies look like when transfered to dvd or is something wrong? I heard that Super Speedway was supposed to have steller image quality...

My standalone dvd player is not hooked up right now (waiting for some longer cables to arrive) but I've noticed it on that before too.

Any ideas?

That is a very low quality DVD, Super Speedway. It's cool, but the production quality is not at all cool.

After I posted this, the new component cables were delivered so I could hook up my dvd player. The problem isn't there with the dvd player in either interlaced or progressive mode. Apparently my HTPC just doesn't like it.
