iMon Soundgraph software windows 8.1 compatibility

I am building a new PC, and have always like the iMon infrared receiver hardware and software mounted neatly inside. As far as I know the software revision has not been updated for some time and there is no mention of Windows 8 64-bit compatibility.

Does anybody here have experience with this combination?

Sorry, give up the idea and move on. iMon software has too many problems and is not updated.

Are there any alternatives that mount in a 3.5" or 5.25" drive bay? What about windows 8.1 driver support? I am getting the distinct feeling that media center is becoming an orphan . . .

My iMon ultrabay works fine on Windows 7 64-bit. Don't see why it wouldn't continue to work on Windows 8 (driver design hasn't changed radically AFAIK), but haven't actually tried it.
