On the new 5805 receiver and 3910 dvd player, do they both have a full HDMI implementation? By that I mean can I connect just the HDMI cable to that receiver, and then HDMI from the receiver to my projector, and will all audio formats pass through that cable to the receiver (DD, DTS, SACD, DVD-Audio) and the video signal as well, finally making good on the promise of just one cable from the source to receiver?
The latest HDMI standards just being released will address SACD.. However I don't know whether or not Denon will have this in time for their 5805 production release, just be sure that the Denon will have this upgrade capability...
Do you know if the new HDMI standard will require a different chipset than is used for the "current" standard, which includes everything else, including DVD-A? Also, I had read not long ago another rumor regarding SACD2; which claimed that one of the differences was to allow use of HDMI. I'm not sure if that's true, but I had read rumors of SACD2 a year or so ago; the differences mentioned at the time was improved copy protection and some type of video output, similar to DVD-A. Have you heard anything regarding any of these rumors?
