Can anyone please help me on how to import my video from my Canon (HDV) Vixia HV30? I just picked it up about 2 months ago and just started trying to import video to be able to write it to a DVD. It will not import on my XP or my Vista computers.......It will recognize the device and start reading the vid but when it starts to import it plays back on the cam but it is just black on the computer and never imports

.....it is driving me crazy. Any help will be much appreciated. I am pretty new to this stuff. Thanks!


EDIT: By the way i am trying to import via firewire. I do not believe you can do it via USB, but I could be wrong......
