Here are some pictures I gathered while evaluating a used IMX910-VT lens. This was captured on a Sony 10HT with good light control. In short, the IMX can improve pixelation but don't expect too much. The pixels will bleed slightly and this makes the image a little softer.....but it's still crisp on a 108" image from 15ft back.

The 10HT had more than enough lumens to overcome the lens, so problems there.

I'm getting this lens cheap, else I may stick to defocusing the projector slightly

Questions and comments pls....

I believe this is a first generation lens and the IMX920/930 series is vastly superior. Shawn would be the best to tell you about the specific differences. But frankly, you aren't seeing the best IMX can offer yet. The lens can be adjusted to achieve a very sharp and "depixeled" image.

There was a whole thread a back a few months ago where folks were posting pictures of the screen-door effect on their respective projectors. In that thread were several IMX lens shots, including some from a 10HT owner.

Good luck!

Tom is right, there are varying results depending on lens adjustment! I've definitely seen a better picture from the IMX with the same projector from previous posts. Certainly got me wanting one! Good luck!

Anyone have a link to the old posting, the ability to Search has been suspended because of a heavy load.
I have the "Screen Door Thread" bookmarked, but I might have some bad news...

I noticed that some "archiving" was going on this afternoon for a few hours...and now I noticed that the screen door thread (with pictures of the IMX processing) seems to be gone.

Here is where it is supposed to be:

That thread wasn't even that long ago! They used to stay on for more than a year, now who knows!!!

AVS must not be able to keep up with demand. The Forum has hit critical mass and now GROWTH CANT BE STOPPED!!

In the nuke plant business this is called going "super hypercritical" anyway... nobody say anything important as it will be lost forever shortly.

More space!!!!!!!!!!!!
