I'm looking for headphone suggestions under $150. These will be mainly for working out and running, so I'm thinking that "in-ear" would be the best bet. The iPod factory headphones fall out too easily while running, as do the Bose headphone that sit in the bowl of the ear.

I'd also be open to other headphone suggestions that will stay on while running. If they are noise canceling, I'll consider that a bonus.

you might have better luck asking on head-fi than on here...

i have a pair of klipsch x5 that are super comfy...

microphonics from the cable would be something to guard against if you're going to be jogging etc....but a clip helps with that...

I have a pair of Shure e4c's which are great. Might be able to find some on eBay as they no longer make them. For a less expensive pair, CNET seems to really like the Klipsch Image S4. Here is a link to their earbud reviews.

Would not recommend in-ear headphones for two reasons. First, if you're running outside you really should be aware of your surroundings. Second, most in-ear headphones make noise when the make contact with your body.

On the second point, you can dramatically decrease and often eliminate annoying microphonics with over the ear placement of the cord and a shirt clip.

I bought some over the ear guides for $8 (3 pair) and they have been a godsend:
