I'm entirely new to the HDTV world but I've done my research, I've got a lot of the terms and lingo down as well as a basic understanding of what I'm looking for. I've got my price range ($1000-$1200) my screen size 42"-46" and I got a few sets picked out (LCD's), which is where you guys come in. Looking for some opinions on the following,

Samsung 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV (LN46A500) - $1099.99

LG 42" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV (42LG70) - $1099.99

Sony Bravia 42" LCD HDTV** (KDL-42V4100) - $1099.99

Toshiba Regza 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV (46RV535U) - $1199.99

Suggestions? Advice? Plasmas

i think the Samsung LN46A500 was only offered as a limited edition model for sale cheap at black friday and cyber monday and supplies may soon run out . i've been looking at the Samsung LN46A550 instead ($1238 w free shipping). it has a 30,000:1 Contrast Ratio vs 20,000:1 for the 500 although reading the threads here doesn't put much stock in Contrast Ratio, but since they are both samsung rating, they may be comparable. i got a post from someone with my ?'s about a better Toshiba REGZA 46XF550U 46" LCD TV at costco for $1299 and i've seen the Toshiba 52RV530U 52" LCD TV for $1,199.00 + shipping. sorry don't know much about the rest.
