Hi,

I'm looking for a budget minded receiver that allows dual source, dual room playback. I will be driving a (yet to be purchased, see below) 5.1 speaker setup in this room, then a set of Klipsch KHO-7 outdoor speakers. I can live with only analog sourced playback for the outdoor zone, although it would be nice to select any source...budget says otherwise here.

I'm leaning towards the Denon AVR-1913 ($399 from Crutchfield now) which lets me steal two channels from the 7.1 to use as a separate zone and leaves me with 5.1. As I understand it also has a really good speaker level/room setup mode. But I'm curious if there are other receivers close in price with similar features.

I'm also looking for a speaker setup via this thread:

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Thanks. After digging around more here, there are some negative opinions on what Denon did with the xx13 models, although I think in my limited application it'd be ok. I'd like to avoid running two receivers if possible, for simplicity and power's sake.

What do folks think about going with a factory reconditioned Denon 2112CI for $370 which has the Audyssey MultEQ XT and the zone 2 (powered or pre-out):

thanks
