In the market for a new receiver.....need suggestions..

Well I am about to upgrade to a front HDTV projector. My old Yamaha receiver has been great but I need something that will do component (or HDMI) switching whichever is recommended. 6.1 would be nice as well...Do you have any suggestions on a good receiver. I don't really need to raise the roof off of my house or anything. Just a good solid receiver that will keep me happy for several years and will work with the latest Audio/Visual technologies. Thanks!

The Rotel RSX-1067 is solid and has a lot of features. You shouldn't need another one any time soon. I just got mine a few days ago and really love it so far. It doesn't have HDMI switching, but I use componant anyway for the most part. Some will tell you that componant doesn't present HDTV as well as HDMI. I don't believe that for one second having compared both on my HDTV.


Oh....btw....the msrp is $2,199.
