Would like some recommendations from you guys on what type of speaker wiring to use for in wall and attic runs. The speakers will be side and back in walls. Thanks for your help.

It depends on how good you want to go. Some stuff that I love to pull and is very well built and burial grade is Proflex cheap too. I did have a box or 2 that had some areas where the jacket was cut (I had to inspect my runs very carefully but beyond that I love the stuff)

Up from there IXOS and WireWorld make very good in-wall stuff but more pricey.

Thanks phyre3 for the response. My lcoal guy has audioquest type 2+ spread spectrum hyperlitz at $ 1.75 per foot. This is supposed to be approved for in wall wiring without conduit. Is this any good?

I used top of the line MIT inwall wire for my dedicated HT.

I bought a 500' spool. It is very flexible and I am very happy with the results. It also can be upgraded to terminator levels with a special MIT boxes - sold separately.

I still have about 150' left.

It retails for 1.50 a foot - I got it much cheaper.

If you are interested email me ([email protected]).

What is the correct procedure for running wire in walls?

How is it done? Is there a FAQ?

I'm speaking of post construction wiring for newbies who don't want to ruin sheetrock, but aren't afraid of spending the day in the attic or fishing wires.
