Inexpensive Large Display Advice

I am not much of a TV watcher, so my 27" Sony is just fine for most use. But I would like to watch DVD movies on a larger screen. What is out there as far as inexpensive large screen solutions? A used projector? Can I get a 16:9 TV for any reasonable price? While picture quality certainly is (very) important, I think along with my 5.1 surround system, a large screen (projector?), with just average quality would make for a more "theater-like" experience.


Any help would be great.
