Please tell me what is wrong....
I DESPERATELY want to use a Yamaha 463 becasue I love the way it sounds. The issue is that I had to return 2 Units from the same store for the same exact problem that i traced to the receiver.
when viewing from an HDMI source (SA8300HDC Cable box & PS3) it displayed this weird green sparkly artifacting after the receiver warmed up. It was very visable along skin tones and lighter areas. I at first thought it was HMI cable so I switch all 3 out (2 input and the output to the TV cable - Using a JVC 56FN97). The same issue occured. The second receiver had that issue and a nice added problem . When I switched to using the PS3 it would simply cycle the Signal on and off, almost like the signal was be sent to the TV then cut of for 2 sec and then sent again. this occured in a repeating fashion that i could SOMETIMES get to work correctly by switching inputs many , many times. I switched to a Denon 1908 and have none of those issues with either set up cables.
I however vastly preferred the Yamaha 463 sound to the Denon 1908 Can someone please tell me why this reciever is doing this Green thing??! Maybe its correcteable? maybe its me? Any help would be appreciated..
