Need expert advice:
I am looking to purchase speakers for a home theater/media room....I found someone selling their used Infinity 362 Floorstanding (x4) and 352 center speaker and 162 Bookshelf speakers in my South West region. I know these speakers are older...So, I am wondering if this set is worth purchasing used, given the age of the speakers, or should I go in a different direction? Should I look new (I follow the deal sites and see sales often). Seller says speakers sound great and are in good condition (I haven't viewed or listened to them yet). This set would be $300 used. Anyone with any thoughts on buying used equipment?

Thanks

you cant argue with the price... do they match your aesthetic? if so, audition them... and even if you don't like them after a while, you won't have a huge sunk cost. The risk is low. and if you do like them, you'll get a giggle every time you play them...

I have bought used equipment before, I am sure I will again.

good luck

Get them now.

I got an even older set of Infinity Primus 250s for $75 for the pair and I feel like I robbed the poor guy.

I bought the set. Sounded great and in good condition. Even had 2 8" subs with it. The media room is wired for 4 in-ceiling speakers as well. Any recommendations on in-ceiling speakers to go with this set? From my research, infinity no longer makes in-ceiling speakers, correct? Lastly, I need a dolby atmos enabled (or firmware upgraded) receiver-- help there too?

Thanks everyone

Dang, $300 for all that...nice score!

In-ceilings, I'd go with these:

Atmos receiver:

Thanks for those recommendations. I like the in-ceiling speakers and that's a good price point.
The Atmos receiver is 7.2 (5.2.2)...Shouldn't I look for 11.2 or at least 9.2 (maybe with pre-outs). Are there non-atmos receivers that can process atmos after a firmware update to consider?
