So I have a pair of Infinity Beta 20's that I may have spare, and was thinking about putting them on my desk as computer speakers.

Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of amp would be apropriate to drive such a thing?


is this approaching something similar to using monitor speakers, and would that be more apropriate for being driven by a computer?

Powered monitors would work without the need for an amp. But since you have the Beta20s, just get a small amp and you will be just as good to go. What is your budget?

Thanks for the links. If i had to nail a price to it, i would say the wife would like something in the $50-100 range, but I also want something thats going to be a decent sounding amp, so if I have to move my pc out to the couch for a few nights im ok with that, but bang for the buck is definately what I am looking for.
