If the foam is inexpensive.......give it a try....nothing to lose.I picked up a pair of RS4001's at a garage sale and the foam around the woofers is starting to come apart. Should I refoam the woofers or would I be better off replacing them with something different?
The foam kits are about $20. I just didn't know if replacing the woofer with something else would be an improvement over the stock(re-foamed) woofers?If the foam is inexpensive.......give it a try....nothing to lose.

Good luck! Changing the surround may change the surround somewhat. But changing the whole woofer will definitely make a change, so that is less desirable.I ordered the kit it should be here friday. I'll post back my results.
