I have the discontinued and much sought-after HD300. You can usually find them on ebay and whatnot. It's a great receiver and it is unsurpassed as far I know, except that it lacks the ability to record shows.

Info request on DirecTV HD receiver
I'm in the market for a DirecTV HD receiver to connect my Sony KDF-50WE655. I've seen some info on the H10 (which seems to have been discontinued by Hughes) and the Samsung SIR TS360. Can anyone share their experiences and offer a recommendation on their HD recievers? DirecTV was no help at all.
