infocus 530 - sony vaio tr5 connection problem

I got a bit of aproblem when I try to connect my new sony vaio tr5 notebook to the infocus 530 through the monitor output. I get the image of the notebook's wallpaper on the projector, but no icons, no menus, no video, nothing. Any ideas?
